Mathare United team manager Beldine Odemba has been named the Kenya U18 women’s national team coach ahead of the Cecafa U18 championship that starts in June.Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is currently conducting trials to assemble a team that will represent the country in the showpiece and Odemba, a CAF B certified coach is leading the process.##NAJAVA_MECA_2111##In a statement , the FKF Premier League outfit has confirmed her appointment to the national team. Odemba has previously served as the national team, Harambee Starlets team manager.”Team Manager Beldine Odemba has been named as head coach for the Kenya U18 girls’ team that hit camp on Friday in preparation for the upcoming CECAFA U18 girls’ tournament to be played in the country from June 24th,” read the statement in part.”Odemba is CAF B licensed and has worked as an assistant coach with the national U17 and U20 girls’ teams and brings with her a wealth of experience from working with players at the infancy stages of their careers. She has also coached the youth teams of several top-flight clubs including Kariobangi Sharks and AFC Leopards. Odemba also led Highway Secondary to the final of the East Africa Secondary School Games (FEASSSA) in 2022.
