Dortmund’s second match ball in Augsburg

Everybody was shocked yesterday, including Borussia Dortmund players. Out of nowhere, Bayern not only drew but lost at home to Leipzig 1-3, allowing BVB to fight for their first Bundesliga title since 2012. Borussia’s players have watched the game on TV from their hotel in Augsburg, where they are playing today. A win will get them to the top spot, where they have been on Matchday 29, before an unlucky draw with Bochum the following weekend. And now they have a second ‘match ball’ ahead of them, only two weeks before the season’s end.Even Heidi Klum is against Bayern’s executivesOne of them is against Augsburg, a team which already showed that they could take a few points from favoured teams (a draw against Leipzig win against Union Berlin), and they nearly took a point from Dortmund in the first round, but Reyna’s fourth goal prevented a sensation. BVB is also ‘weak’ away from home, as they failed to win the last four games on the road in all competitions. Maybe that’s why Bayern’s forward Thomas Muller didn’t want to say anything before the last game of the season.”We have to win next week, if we do that Dortmund has to win both games and I want to see that first. Then I will congratulate” he said to Sky after the loss to Leipzig. Can the Millionaires keep fighting without their biggest star?On the other hand, Dortmund players are confident that they can win in Augsburg and then celebrate the title in front of home fans against Meinz. After a 1-1 draw in Bochum, they destroyed Wolfsburg (6-0) and Monchengladbach (5-2) as the trio of Sebastien Haller, Karim Adeyemi and Donyell Malen is in terrific form.“We’ve adapted to each other, and you can see in the last few weeks that it’s been working really well. I’m really happy to have this connection with those two and the guys behind me. I just hope that we will keep this for the last two games of the season. Before I started being able to play for Dortmund, we were sixth, so of course you have other targets in mind. And now suddenly you are able to play for the title! I think we just need to be humble, grateful, and still work as we did in the last months and weeks, and then we will see” said Haller before the game.BUNDESLIGA – MATCHDAY 33FridayFreiburg – Wolfsburg 2-0 (0-0)/Gunter 71, Petersen 75/SaturdayHertha Berlin – Bochum 1-1 (0-0)/Tousart 63 – Schlotterbeck 90+4/Hoffenheim – Union Berlin 4-2 (2-1)/Bebou 22, Kramaric 36 pen, 90, Dabbur 90+9 – Doekhi 45+4, Laidouni 90+5/Schalke – Eintracht Frankfurt 2-2 (1-1)/Terodde 1, Polter 85 – Kamada 21, Tuta 59/Werder – Koln 1-1 (0-1)/Schmid 73 – Tigges 36/Bayern – Koln 1-3 (1-0)/Gnabry 25 – Laimer 65, Nkunku 76 pen, Szoboszlai 86 pen/Sunday16:30: (2.65) Mainz (3.50) Stuttgart (2.85)18:30: (7.00) Augsburg (5.30) Dortmund (1.44)20:30: (1.55) Leverkusen (4.40) M’ gladbach (6.50)***odds are subject to change***
