The Talanta Hela program has been dealt a blow by the High Court after it suspended the establishment created by President William Ruto and spearheaded by Sports CS Ababu Namwamba. Its establishment, aimed at nurturing talent in the country, generated debate with some stakeholders questioning its real mandate as some roles clashed with those of different federations. The composition of its two committees has also been a subject of debate. The two committees are the Sports Technical Committee and the Creative Technical Committee, chaired by journalist Carol Radull and comedian Daniel ‘Churchill’ Ndambuki, respectively.##NAJAVA_MECA_7277772##The two committees that were gazetted in February will now have to wait a little before hitting the ground after the High Court issued orders suspending their establishment.According to the Nation, Justice Lawrence Mugambi suspended the establishment of the council until a case filed by sporting personality Charles Mugane is heard and determined. Mugane cited legal and constitutional flaws in the case he filed under a certificate of urgency. All Sports Matter! #TalantaHela pic.twitter.com/pGwAJDskKL— Hon Ababu-Namwamba, EGH🇰🇪 (@AbabuNamwamba) May 22, 2023 Mugane urged the judge to suspend the implementation of the council and its relevant committees in all 47 counties. He informed the judge that unless he intervenes, the rights of those meant to benefit will be infringed. He was further pleased with the court’s decision to suspend the establishment of the Council and its committees until such a time when the CS will comply with the law by implementing sound sporting doctrine in establishing the body that will help this country identify and get the best of the best in all sporting activities.Matano aims his wielding axe at Gor Mahia ahead of potential title deciderMugane has named CS Sports Namwamba and the Attorney General as respondents.Sports Committee members: Carol Radul Julius Yego, Neddy Kutsuru, Alfred Makotsi, Collins Kale, Kevin Mutai, Shilovelo Winna Shilavula, Daniel Nakeor Losiru, and Staicy Shariffa Ochieng.Creatives committee members: Daniel Ndambuki, Akinyi Odongo, Jimmi Gathu, Catherine Kamau, Esther Akoth, Kizito Makhande, Azziad Nasenya, Rosemary Wahu Kagwi, Awadhi Salim Awadhi, Douglas Kipkirui Langat, and Susan EkasibaAdditional reporting by Nation
