Mathare United registered their tenth straight defeat after falling 1-0 to KCB in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match played at Ruaraka grounds on Saturday. The result complicates Mathare’s chances of surviving relegation as the 2008 league winners are eight points adrift of safety with three matches to go.KCB were denied what looked like a legitimate penalty hardly two minutes into the match after Mathare goalkeeper Brian Olang’o hacked Nicholas Kipkirui down in the area.Kipkirui had dashed into the Mathare box, beating Olang’o to a loose ball and just before he could pull the trigger, the latter caught his shins, and ad a result, went to the floor writhing in pain.##NAJAVA_MECA_7283912##KCB boss Zedekiah Otieno couldn’t hide his frustration with the first assistant Virginia Waithera for turning a blind eye on the clear foul and failing to guide the whistler Ahmed Daudi to point to the spot and take the goalkeeper’s name. The rift in class between the two sides was crystal clear as KCB were head and shoulders above Mathare who struggled to chart a path out of their area and poke holes into the KCB backline. Opiyo, pulled a couple of decent saves early in the game to deny KCB the chance to grab the lead from the flurry of chances created. KCB goalkeeper Bryne Omondi survived a red card in the 32nd minute after handling the ball few yards outside his territory while attempting to stop Daniel Otieno from scoring. While awaiting Daudi to reveal the colour of the card to be dished, KCB second goalkeeper Gabriel Andika was already on his way to the warm up area as ge anticipated for a red. After consultation with the second assistant referee, Oliver Ouma, Daudi cautioned Omondi much to the relief of the KCB bench that was already bracing to play the remainder with a man less.Mathare looked dangerous early in the second half as the slum boys raided the bankers looking to take control of the match and get positive results. The former champions were also denied a chance to take the lead from the spot as Maurice Ojwang hacked Baron Oketch down in the box just six minutes after restart.Oketch missed the best chance of the game that presented itself in the 58th minute, clearing the ball off the line instead of making a simple touch for it to cross the line.KCB took the lead in the 60th minute through Musa Masika who whipped a superb freekick few metres from edge of the box, catching Opiyo flat-footed.KCB held on the slim advantage up to the final whistle to secure maximum points at the expense of Mathare.Mathare United Starting XI; Brian Olang’o, Francis Wasike, Geoffrey Shiveka, Gedion Werre, Derrick Ikholi (Khalid Jumaan 81)Godfrey Ochieng, Meshack Muyonga, Curtis Wekesa, Daniel Otieno, Ronald Sichenje (Chris Owino 71), Baron Oketch (Tony Odhiambo 71) Ancelotti wants KaneSubstitutes: Bernard Jairo, John Kuol, Fidel Otieno, Brian OkeyoKCB Starting XI; Bryne Omondi, Maurice Ojwang,Haniff Wesonga,Erickson Mulu, Kevin Okumu, Brian Ochieng,Apollo Otieno, Mohamed Kilume (Brian Chemweno 61), Musa Masika, Nicholas Kipkirui (Cliff Oruko 81), Harrison Mwendwa (Henry Onyango 61)Substitutes: Gabriel Andika, Bixente Otieno, Harun Mwale, Nashon Alembi
