It’s been a wild ride in the Premier League this season. We got plenty of talking points, heroes, zeros, overachievers and bottlers – and everything in between. As for the final matchday, there will still be a few things to be decided. The title race has been settled, though. Arsenal were top of the pile for most of the season, but in the end they didn’t have enough in the tank to remain ahead of the rampant Manchester City. Manchester United and Newcastle United will join those two clubs in the next season’s Champions League. Liverpool and Brighton will take part in the UEFA Europa League, but the seventh place, which leads into the Europa Conference League is still up for grabs. Aston Villa occupy the place going into the final set of games, but Tottenham and Brentford still have a chance to get the last European ticket. For one final time this season 🍿#PL pic.twitter.com/FtkxstBi85— Premier League (@premierleague) May 28, 2023 Down in the bottom, two teams will join already-relegated Southampton. Everton have 33 points, Leicester and Leeds are on 31, and only one of those three clubs will still be a member of the Premier League tonight.Everton will be sure of surviving if Leeds fail to beat Tottenham and Leicester don’t beat West Ham. As it stands, Leeds need a win to have any hope of staying up and could still be relegated even if they beat Tottenham and Everton don’t defeat Bournemouth because Leicester sit above them in the table on goal difference.Leicester have to beat West Ham to have any hope of avoiding relegation and hope Bournemouth can take something from their final-day game at Everton and that Leeds don’t win by nine of ten goals.##NAJAVA_MECA_7283891##In the event that Leicester don’t win on Sunday, goal difference could yet prove decisive in a head-to-head fight to avoid the drop between Everton and Leeds.Ideally, we would be watching the title race go down to the wire, just like the one in the German Bundesliga on Saturday, but those kinds of season finales don’t happen quite that often.PREMIER LEAGUE – FINAL DAYSunday18.30: (2.90) Leeds (3.60) Tottenham (2.55)18.30: (1.58) Man.Utd.
