Ghanaian World Cup hero isn’t playing anymore – but he keeps earning millions

Former Ghanaian goalscorer Asamoah Gyan ended his professional football career two years ago, but thanks to his business sense, he still earns a lot more than most players. The 37-year-old superstar owns companies, buses in Accra, petrol stations – you name it! His wealth is estimated at tens of millions of dollars!

The guy nicknamed Baby Jet, who made his name in Italy with Udinese and Modena before setting off to France with Stade Rennais, broke onto the Premier League stage with Sunderland in 2019 after the World Cup in South Africa. Back in those days, he was earning around $50,000 per week in England, but that was nothing compared to what he earned later in his career. In 2011, he signed for Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates, initially on loan. He spent a total of four seasons in Abu Dhabi and earned over $20 million there. Again, his next career move was even better, as he signed for Shanghai SIPG in China. And still, all those contracts were just a start. He showed good business sense while his football career was still in full swing. He started a boxing promotions company in 2012 called Baby Jet Promotions. And in 2017, he started an airline as well – although it ceased operations two years later with a whimper. ##NAJAVA_MECA_7309422##Asamoah has a $3 million mansion in McCarthy Hill in western Accra. The six-bedroom house has a gym, cafe, pub, movie theatre, snooker bar, automated garage and a swimming pool. He says this will be his official residence. Elsewhere, he owns another mansion in East Legon.Gyan has made a multi-million dollar fortune through sports and his entertainment companies, Infiniti and JetLink Events & Logistics, which provide services to help build stages, LED screens, and PA systems for high-profile concerts and events. In order to ensure the efficient operation of his transport business, the former Black Cat owns several petrol stations and more than 30 buses in the Ghanaian capital.SPORTS: THE LOVE FOR @ASAMOAH_GYAN3 BabyJet U.16 African Championship happening now at Cape coast Sports Stadium. #TheBlogger pic.twitter.com/hKayQDFtOZ— #GenerationalThinker (@KobbyKyei_) June 6, 2023 As well as vehicles, Gyan has penetrated the food and drink market through Mama Vits Noodles and Rice and Paradise Pac Drinking Water, the latter introducing sachet drinking water to the nation. He has a very inspiring life outside the pitch, which has caused several Ghanaian youngsters, especially upcoming footballers, to take after his lifestyle. He has many luxury cars and who knows what else.

Although Luis Suarez’s famous handball rid Baby Jet of a World Cup semi-final, he’s done alright.
