Kenya Women Premier League (WPL) side Trans Nzoia Falcons’ player have, reportedly, been brutally evicted from their camp for the second time in under six months.Mozzart Sport understands that Falcons, whom the county government of Trans Nzoia sponsors, had received a notice of eviction from the premises located at Kitale showgrounds two weeks ago and asked to give back the beddings bought for them by the county. The players, were left shocked on Tuesday, 13 June, morning as county enforcement officers accompanied by county sports chief officer Rosaline Nasibanda stormed the camp and unceremoniously threw them out.As per Moses Ngeiywa, Falcons’ chairperson, the team’s plea and effort to engage with county government sports department were met with resistance.”We tried to talk to the Trans Nzoia County government sports department for more time to reorganize ourselves but the officials never gave us an ear,” Ngeiywa told a local media house.Beddings belonging to the team were thrown outside leaving the players with no place to rest.Tusker FC CEO shares plans to acquire women’s team, speaks on larger club visionAccording to the county government sources, the reason for eviction is that the club had no memorandum of understanding during their first days in camp and that the county government has plans with the facility in question.Sources also revealed that the rising indiscipline cases among the players, both in and out of the camp, contributed for the unceremoniously eviction.It is the second time Falcons are being thrown out of camp this season, with the first incident on 7 January,2023.The Kitale-based club, finished eighth in the just concluded KWPL 2022/2023 and were yet to break from the camp.##NAJAVA_MECA_7320626##
