Kenya Police acquire WPL side Thika Queens in mutual deal

In a bid to align with CAF requirements, Kenya Police FC has acquired former Women Premier League side Thika Queens.In an elaborate statement, the two sides announced the move, terming it a beneficial agreement meant to forge a new era of collaboration and growth of women football in the country.“This groundbreaking partnership marks an exciting chapter in the history of both clubs. Kenya Police FC, a renowned institution with a rich footballing heritage, and Thika Queens FC, a highly respected women’s football club, have come together to foster unity, inclusivity, and enhanced opportunities for players, staff, and fans alike,” the statement read.Tusker FC CEO shares plans to acquire women’s team, speaks on larger club visionThe primary objective of this partnership, according to the clubs is to empower and promote women football in Kenya.
