Vihiga Bullets FC’s relegation into the National Super League, though coming prematurely before the 2022/23 FKF PL season ended, may have spelled doom for a majority of the players but not for one Felix Ochieng who reveals that three top-flight teams have approached him.Ochieng, playing his first ever top-flight football with Bullets, has crossed his fingers on the prospects of a possible move in the pre-season transfer window.‘’After everything that has happened with my club Bullets, the plan right now is to keep my head focused because I know God will do something good my way. We might have gone down into the second tier but I have had three clubs who have shown interest in me. If all goes well, I’ll still be in the Premier League come next season,’’ the 21-year-old opined.##NAJAVA_MECA_7342387##The three clubs, he reveals, are league runners-up Tusker, Kakamega Homeboyz, and FC Talanta.Having played for Gusii FC in the NSL, Ochieng feels top-flight football is a lot easier especially if you are technically gifted.‘’I have played in the NSL before and from my assessment of the two leagues, Premier is much easier if you are blessed technically. It’s more brain than brawn. In the lower divisions though, you have to assert yourself physically first,’’ the Moi University graduate added. Bullets finished the season bottom of the FKF PL table standings, a whooping 14 points behind fellow relegation candidates Mathare United. With just three wins to show for the entire season, the Vihiga-based side soaked in another massive 84 goals. Ochieng knows why.How the Ernest Wendo – Shafiq Kagimu double pivot helped Gor Mahia win the FKFPL title‘’It’s no secret. We struggled financially throughout the season. If you look at the log you’ll see that we dished out a few walkovers and this was mainly because we at some times could not even travel to match venues. This can be demoralising to players, especially after having put in the shift throughout the week in training. Greatly affected our morale,’’ he said.Given another chance, the lean midfielder reveals that even the management learnt its lesson by the end of the season and things would be done differently.‘’I believe things will be different even in the NSL. The management saw where the problem was and I’m confident it will be rectified,’’ He finished.Bullets ended the season against league runners-up Tusker- a potential title decider- and soaked in 4 goals as the brewers settled for second position on the log, themselves failing to defend the title they won in 2022.
