Bundesliga announced fixtures for the 2023/24 season today. 11 consecutive champions Bayern Munich will start their title-defending season in Bremen, while second placed Borussia will be at home against Koln. In case that there is another exciting finish of the season, like it was this time, in the last round, Borussia will again play at home, this time against newcomers Darmstadt, while Bayern will travel to Hoffenheim, where they beaten the hosts 2-0 this season. The first Der Klassiker will be played in Dortmund on between 3rd and 5th of November, while the return derby is set for 30/31st March 2024. Apart from duels with Dortmund, Bayern fans will surely check the schedule for their games with another Borussia – Monchengladbach. The Foals finished 10th in the league, but still managed to disrupt Bayern. No team has a better record against them since the start of their 11-year reign than Borussia. They drew 1-1 in Munich last season and then won 3-2 at Borussia-Park to continue their hoodoo over the Bavarians. Bayern will travel to Monchengladbach between in September (1-3rd), and they will host the Foals in February (2-4th). On the other side, their arch-rivals Dortmund will have their share of tough schedule as they will play three tricky games in a row in April 2024: at Monchengladbach, at home against Leverkusen and then at Leipzig. Moving bodies around: Bayern secure Min-jae and sell Lucas to Paris Saint-GermainAhead of this season, Bayern Munich sacked CEO and sporting director and now the new management will help Thomas Tuchel to strengthen the squad in order to avoid the stressful last day of the season. Their main rival Borussia Dortmund are currently pretty quiet on the transfer market and they have the biggest hole to fulfill – the departure of Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid. Off course, nobody is predicting that Bundesliga title race will involve anyone apart from Bayern and Borussia, but it’s worth noting that Leipzig finished third for the second season in a row, they won the DFB Cup for the second time in a row, and they defeated both clubs during the just finished season. Leipzig finished the season only five points off the top two in the Bundesliga, and no team collected more points in the period since Marco Rose took charge on 8 September 2022.##NAJAVA_MECA_7347494##
