The transfer window in England is in full mode and things are gonna get even trickier in July and August. Every team has a list of needs and improvements and so is Manchester United. Coach Erik ten Hag needs a couple of players in every position, but it seems that his urgent need is at goalkeeper. In every other position on the field, there are at least two players, but between the sticks, only a 37 year old keeper remains. And he was about to go as well, but the Dutch tactician prevented that so that he can start the pre-season with at least one senior keeper.🚨 | Erik ten Hag has blocked a move for Tom Heaton to Luton Town. He has told Heaton he will not be allowed to leave despite the player asking the club to permit him to leave to be a Premier League regular. [@SamWallaceTel] pic.twitter.com/QIupD7GRzK— UtdDistrict (@UtdDistrict) June 29, 2023 David De Gea has been a loyal servant for the last 12 years, but his contract will end today, and from tomorrow, he will be without a club. And Manchester handled this situation like a third league club. As per Daily Mail, they finally managed to give him a contract offer (lower than his current one) and the Spaniard accepted it, but then the club withdrew this offer and gave him a lower one?? De Gea still hasn’t replied to this new offer, although no fan would be surprised if he walks right now, considering how the club has treated him. It’s over – Chelsea accept Manchester United’s fourth bid for MountTen Hag obviously doesn’t know want to do with the player – keep him or sell him, otherwise he would have told him that long time ago. United ‘flirted’ with other keepers, Andre Onana in particular, but nothing came out of it, at least for now, and now the Red Devils are entering July and the pre-season with a 37 year old Tom Heaton as the only recognized senior keeper. That doesn’t sound good for the club of that stature. What’s even worse, with their amateurish-like dealing with this situation, they prevented Heaton to sing for Luton. The new Premier League club wanted the experienced keeper, but without senior players, Ten Hag had to stop this transfer. United have Dean Henderson, who came back from Nottingham Forest where he was on loan, but he is still recovering from a serious injury and won’t be available immediately. And even he is not the long-term solution. According to multiply reports, Ten Hag is ‘’p***** off’ with Henderson’ and is not keen on bringing him back into the fold after he spoke negatively about United during his time away from the club. Can De Gea get over being tricked or has he already given up at this point?Off course, United can re-sign De Gea tomorrow, or any other day, but allowing themselves to get into this mess in the first place, and not respecting a long-time team member in the process is something that big clubs don’t don’t do, and former player Rio Ferdinand acknowledged that and blasted the club over situation with the Spaniard.“He’s been an unreal servant to this football club. 12 years he’s been at this club, similar to what I was at this club. Player of the year, four or five times in that time been phenomenal. At times, he’s been the best player at the club. And in a few of those years, had moments where it didn’t go well. Lost a bit of form at times. Maybe lost confidence, but, in the main, served the club remarkably well. He’s an outstanding professional. He’s never brought the club an ounce of trouble. Never brought the club into disrepute. He’s an outstanding professional and a great character. He’s one of the boys. I’m just a little bit gutted with how the club have handled this. It comes down to communication. They have made mistakes before with big players leaving the club in the past. Big players have left the club feeling like they’ve not been treated well. You owe it to a player that has been there that long to ensure they leave the club on half decent terms at least. David must be sitting there and thinking, “I never dreamed that I would leave the club in this way, in this manner.” I look at it now and how does David de Gea stay? The only way he stays is if United can’t get Onana or whichever goalkeeper they go for. It would be difficult for him though because he’ll be looking at the club in a different light. It was love before, maybe it’s business now. It’s disappointing and I hope it gets sorted out, for David and the club’s sake” said Ferdinand on Five You Tube channel. And he is 100% right.##NAJAVA_MECA_7347494##
