FKF Premier League side AFC Leopards are set to tie down Belgian tactician Patrick Aussems on a two year deal, Mozzart Sport can exclusively report In a Leopards National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Sunday attended by Ingwe chairman Dan Shikanda, Secretary General Gilbert Andugu, Oliver Imbenzi, branch chairpersons among other NEC members, it was collectively agreed to extend the Belgian’s stay at the den as it is viewed as the key getaway to the club’s pending case at FIFA. Aussems, who joined the Ingwe in 2021, was locked in extension talks with the club, leaving behind a two year deal request on table before jetting out for medical attention in his native Belgium. Mozzart Sport has since established that, NEC has given in to his demands and a deal will be struck by the end of current week as they seek to get their name off the bad books of football governing body FIFA. Yet another former player threatens to report AFC Leopards to FIFAAs per the minutes of the meeting, Ochan’s debt with the former champions is being worked on and part of the arrears is expected to be paid by the conclusion of the week as talks with club’s delegation continue to find a long lasting solution to the saga. “We need close to Ksh 30 million that’s inclusive of kits, paying arrears to those players being released and of course clearing part of Ochan debt.” The source added. With Aussems’ extension, it comes with a huge responsibility as the former KAA Gent man is tasked with delivering Ingwes’ first league triumpet in twenty five years. Aussems was born on February 6 in 1965 at Moelingen, Belgium. He played football for various clubs in Europe including RCS Vise, Standard Liege ,KAA Gent and France’s ES Troyes AC.
