Div One : Sigalagala coach Daudi Amboso hails charges for stellar show in maiden season

Majority of teams in the Division One have openly admitted that the current campaign has been a tough one but not for Sigalagala.The institution-owned team gained automatic promotion last season edging out De’la Sharks in division two promotion play offs at Iten grounds.The Poly boys have since enjoyed a stunning season, setting a record of thirteen games unbeaten run in the league before it eventually tailed off in last weekend’s defeat at Transfoc FC.##NAJAVA_MECA_7353074##The Kakamega based club have taken to the field twenty four times, managing eight wins, thirteen draws and failed to collect maximum points thrice against veteran Zoo FC ,Transfoc and the relegated Kamungei United, results that places them fifth on division one standings with 37 points. Daudi Amboso, who guided the team from the fourth tier, has lauded his charges for showing commitment throughout the season and is optimistic more is to come for the young squad. “There are five games left and we hope to finish on a high. It’s our first season in Division One so these guys, I really thank them. We kept the group from div two and have given much since the start of the season,” stated Amboso.
