Western region giants Nzoia Sugar FC’s stellar performance in the recently concluded FKF Premier League season may have come at a costly price for the side that thrives on serving upsets to the league’s top dogs.Having been on the receiving end of massive transfer coups in the past- including a mid-season loss of lethal forward Felicien Okanda to Kakamega Homeboyz, the bigger clubs have come back again and this time, even borders might be crossed.Joseph Mwangi finished the season highest on the top scorers’ chart for the sugar millers and third overall in the league. Zambian giants Nkana FC have shown interest in the diminutive winger. Sources close to the club indicate a proposal has been made to the team and should terms be agreed upon, the winger could very well cross over to the Zambian Super League where his predecessors have prospered.
