Kanuli joined the club less than three months ago taking over from George Lio, who had opted for MOFA FC an entity plying trade in FKF division one Zone B,and was tasked with ensuring Balaji’s league survival.Sources privy to the coach say a decision was reached after the club failed to honour the tacticians’ contract and that he had received no salary since joining the club. ” Rix and Balaji had a meeting yesterday that lasted for more than eight hours. Rix has not been paid since joining the club and there was no plan or agreement on how to pay his monies,” confided the source. ##NAJAVA_MECA_7367722##The former Shabana coach confirmed his contract termination; “It is true we had a meeting with my bosses and they are things that didn’t work out as expected. I did not plan to leave Balaji at this stage as I had a mission to accomplish but at time situations change and for now I wish them well.” Said the former Mwatate United gaffer. Kanuli becomes the third coach to leave the relegation threatened EPZ this season, with all the outgoing gaffers citing row over non payment and non compliance of the club to their contracts . During his short stint at EPZ ,Rix was on the dugout seven times registering two draws, one defeat and four wins the latest coming over the weekend in a 2-0 win aganist Zetech Titans. He leaves the club grounded fifteenth on division one log five points closer to safety.
