Days after confirming former Kenya under-20 coach Mohamed Hamisi as the new head coach, ambitious National Super League club Kajiado FC have moved with speed to rope in experienced coach Peter Okidi into their ranks as the team embarks on a long-term plan of gracing the FKF Premier League.Okidi, who has amassed experience over the years with Kenya Under 23, Nakuru All Stars, Kakamega Homeboyz, and other teams in both lower-tier and top-tier leagues, joins Kajiado as an assistant coach.##NAJAVA_MECA_7377835##Before his appointment, the former Soy United gaffer was attached to Football Kenya Federation Premier League outfit Kariobangi Sharks as the lead scout tasked with identifying young talents, an attribute that made him the preferred candidate at the Ildamat-based club.”Okidi is well known for his work; his record speaks volumes, and he has an ability to blend well with young players. Since we here at Kajiado are more concerned with the future, we felt he was the perfect person to deputize Kaka (Hamisi),” offered Mohamed Osman, Kajiado team manager.Osman also hinted that more appointments are set to be initiated at the club as they look to fill the voids from last season when the club only had a head coach and team manager.”We have left everything to our coach as we look to do things professionally this term, and we expect to have a goalkeeper trainer and other staff joining soon as proposed by the gaffer,” he said.In a bid to strengthen the squad and have a competitive team for the upcoming national Super League campaign, the club has announced trials running from July 20 to August 3 across various sub-counties in Kajiado County. The trials will be open to players from across the country who are interested in joining Kajiado FC. Aspiring footballers will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and impress the team’s coaching staff during the exercise. The two-week-long exercise will begin with Kajiado North on July 20 at Nakeel grounds before moving to Kajiado East four days later, with the trialists assembling at Road Block Grounds, Kitengela, and Mashuru Stadium on July 26. Katoo Stadium will host Kajiado South’s upcoming footballers on July 27 before moving to Molem grounds in Kajiado West four days later. The technical bench will complete the recruitment drive on August 3 with players from Kajiado Central given a chance to showcase their skills at Nkanas grounds.Ugandan defender bids team goodbye as he heads to Bandari
