Rather than playing for the U21 team or being loaned out to a lower-division club, Mainoo will train with the guys like Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and Rashford.In January, the youngster made his first-team debut against Charlton in the Carabao Cup. A few weeks later, against Leicester, he made his Premier League bow, coming off the bench. In the pre-season games against Leeds in Oslo and Lyon in Edinburgh, Ten Hag started Mainoo.
