Less than 24 hours later, El Confidencial has revealed that a German private company will immediately transfer the much-needed $66.8 million to the club’s coffers for a 16% piece of Barca Studios. This still leaves the club owning 34% of its multimedia arm, and the development comes as a relief with the start of the La Liga season on the horizon in just over two weeks.Barca begin their defence of the La Liga title with an away trip to Getafe on 12 August.
