Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano is happy with the signings made by the club so far as he heads to Tanzania with his side for a week-long pre-season training. The Brewers unveiled their five new signings on Friday morning as they prepare for the 2023–24 season that gets underway in three weeks’ time. The five are Edwin Simiyu, promoted from the youth team; Joseph Mwangi from Nzoia Sugar FC; James Kibande from Kenya Police FC; Fabian Adikiny from Murang’a Seal and John Byamukana from Gaddafi FC of Uganda.##NAJAVA_MECA_7409441##The five have been in training with the team for weeks now, and on Saturday they featured in a friendly match against Plantech Kenya FC, a match that Tusker picked up a 6-0 win in, with Kibande and Mwangi scoring three of the goals.Last season, the Brewers missed out on the league and cup titles in a cruel manner. They lost the league to Gor Mahia on the final day and lost the cup final to Kakamega Homeboyz, and Mtano believes that the fresh blood injected into the team will spur his charges.🚍 | We are off to Arusha, where we will base our pre-season training camp for the next one week.#KenyaMilele #Brewers4Life pic.twitter.com/VUjpawvqtW— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) August 6, 2023 “I am delighted by the new players that we have included in the team. I am certain they are the right profile of players we need to take the club’s performance a level higher, and hopefully they can help us win trophies next season.
