Cody Brundage slams Zachary Reese to land second first-round KO at UFC Austin

Cody Brundage handed Zachary Reese his first career defeat, when the pair squared off at UFC Fight Night: Dariush vs Tsarukyan. The event aired live on ESPN+ from Moody Center in Austin, TX on Saturday, December 2.

The scheduled for three rounds middleweight bout ended prior to the final horn. Brundage claimed the win by knockout, slamming Reese on the canvas and finishing with punches. Referee Jeff Rexroad waved the fight off at 1 minute and 49 seconds into the first round.

Earlier at the event, Drakkar Klose similarly defeated Joe Solecki, securing the first-round slam KO at lightweight.

With the victory, 29-year-old Cody Brundage of Brighton, Michigan improved to 10-5 and recorded his second win in a row. 29-year-old Zachary Reese of Shiner, Texas dropped to 6-1 and suffered his first loss.
