Four EA countries to co-host CHAN 2024

The 2024 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) will be played four countries in East Africa – with Kenya, Tanzania Mainland, Uganda, and Zanzibar set to host the tournament, Mozzart Sport can confirm. Confirming the development, Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Secretary General Cliff Malio Ndimbo stated that CECAFA Executive Director Auka Gecheo informed TFF of the plan to play the tournament, that is majorly meant for players plying trade in Africa, across the four nations during the Federation’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Iringa.##NAJAVA_MECA_7750866##Kenya was initially poised to host the competition solo.“It is true, Tanzania, Zanzibar Kenya, and Uganda will co-host CHAN, Gecheo confirmed to our president during the AGM held in Iringa on Saturday and everyone is looking forward to it,” stated Malio.Speaking at the same event, TFF president Wallace Karia also confirmed the development. “Next year in September, we have been given the CHAN hosting rights in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. Hopefully, we will have one stadium in each of these cities – Kampala, Nairobi, Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar.
