Six players have sued Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) side Bandari after they were dropped in July.The six are asking the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) to declare that they were dropped without regard to due process and want to be compensated.##NAJAVA_MECA_7755273##They include Douglas Mokaya, Faraj Ominde Odenyi, Zakayo Keegan Ndemi, Felix Oluoch, Johanna Mwita and Christopher Ochieng Oduor.When counsels for the players and club appeared on Tuesday afternoon before the tribunal, Njeri Onyango who was chairing the session raised the matter of SDT’s jurisdiction following a ruling by the labour court in an almost similar matter between Gor Mahia and former player Clifton Miheso.Victor Wanyama set to commence coaching journeyIn that matter, the tribunal had ruled in favour of Miheso but the labour court overturned the decision on the basis that SDT did not have jurisdiction over the matter.“I want to urge both parties to look at the ruling by the labour court and then decide if they want to proceed the same way or would like to handle the matter in another way.“We cannot ignore the ruling of the labour court because it touched on matters that are similar to yours,” she said.The matter will come up for hearing on January 11, 2024.
