Carlos Alcaraz came from a set down to beat world No 1 Novak Djokovic 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 in an exhibition match in Riyadh. They played each other four times in 2023 with Djokovic knocking Alcaraz out of the French Open while Alcaraz got the best of Djokovic in a thrilling Wimbledon final. Djokovic also racked up wins against Alcaraz in Cincinnati and again at the ATP Finals to bring it to a 3-2 all-time head-to-head record in the Serb’s favour in tour-level matchups.”It’s fantastic to have him [Carlos Alcaraz] in our sport,”said Djokovic. “He’s one of the leaders of the sport today and definitely he’s going to carry this game in the future years to come. In the next 10-15 years, we’re going to see a lot of him. So, tennis is in good hands.”
