Sofapaka chairman Elly Kalekwa believes new coach Zedekiah Otieno will stabilize the team and help them escape relegation from the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL).Kalekwa said the new coach has the necessary experience to help them get out of the relegation zone.“He is a very experienced coach and we are happy to have him on board. Going on strike was unnecessary because we had not delayed so long in paying their salaries as they alleged.“The truth is that the salaries had been delayed for just two months and this is not strange in our league but we always do our best to ensure the player’s needs are taken care of.“There is no provision in our contracts for players to go on strike,” he said.He said the action had cost his team a potential sponsor who was looking to pump money into the team.“We were in discussion with a serious sponsor and the negotiations had concluded successfully.
