Doyle’s equalizer also extended Wolverhampton’s unbeaten run to four matches in all competitions, with none of their previous eight home matches ending in defeat. The last time Wolves celebrated was a 3-0 home win over Everton on December 30, which was Wolves’ fourth celebration in their last five home games. From Brentford’s perspective, playing Wolves again is at least an improvement, as strange as that may sound. Because the two teams clashed in the league on December 30, when the Wolves won 4:1.
