FKF Div. One: APS Bomet plotting MOFA fall in league action

APS Bomet head coach Alfred Chole is optimistic his team will leave Homabay with maximum points when they face fourth-placed Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA) in a Football Kenya Federation Division One match scheduled for Saturday at MOFA Complex.Black Berets picked a 2-1 win over Green Commandos last weekend to extend their unbeaten run to nine matches, with the last defeat dating back to October when they succumbed to a 1-0 beating at the hands of Sigalagala Polythetic FC, and Chole wants to maintain that winning mentality. The former Fortune Sacco striker, however, is aware of the tough task that awaits going by the impressive form the opposition has at home, but urges that experience and winning mojo within the squad will be to their advantage.“We are facing a side that lost the previous weekend, with the quality of the players they have brought in I expect a tough match but we are equal to the task. We are not going to sit and give them space to attack but we are going there to pick all points and march all their balls,” stated Chole.“We have had a week-long training session and all the players are in good shape. Our away record is good and I am expecting to team to build on it as we take a game at a time,” he added.Bungoma on the mend as WPL’s second leg gets underwayThe youthful tactician, however, downplayed promotion talks but committed to handling each match as it comes. He also revealed that the law enforcers had added lethal arsenals to their fold in a bid to stay competitive ahead of the second phase of the campaign.
