Jota and Nunez bring down Bournemouth with a brace each

It all happened after a stunning 2-0 win over Newcastle in November. Bournemouth started a great streak of seven wins in their last nine games, with a draw against Aston Villa and an away win over Manchester United, just to name a few. But there are clubs who are just much better and the Cherries were overwhelmed by the Reds today, losing the game 4-0 in the end. What is more impressive in Liverpool’s win in a tough stadium was the fact that they played without seven injured players (Thiago Alcantara, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Stefan Bajcetic, Ben Doak, Joel Matip, Andy Robertson, Dominik Szoboszlai and Kostas Tsimikas). The Reds were also severely damaged by the fact that their main strength, their right side of the pitch with an Alexander-Arnold – Salah duo was missing, but Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez stepped in with a brace each and resolved the game singlehandedly.Liverpool expended their lead at the table of the Premier League with their sixth win in seven matches in all competition and are now five points ahead of Manchester City, who have a game in hand. The guest started the game with two Alisson saves but after that it was all Liverpool until the Cherries produced a great chance at the end of the first half, but Solanke couldn’t score. All three goals of the game came in the second half, as the Red tightened up the pressure and won on pure quality. Just at the beginning of the second part, Konate played a great ball into Jones, who found Jota on the right and he assisted Nunez for the lead. The Portuguese decided it was time for his goals and scored two in the space of 10 minutes. The first came in the 70th minute, Diaz found Gakpo, who saw Jota down the right side, and the Portuguese benefited from Bradley’s pass for the game’s third goal. Then Nunez decided he wanted to score a brace of his own and did so in the third minute of injury time. A good result for Jurgen Klopp’s boys ahead of Carabao and FA Cup games against Fulham and Norwich before Chelsea and Arsenal derbies.ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUESaturdayArsenal – Crystal Palace 5-0 (2-0)/Gabriel 11, Henderson 37 (og), Trossard 59, Martinelli 90+4, 90+5/Brentford – Nott.
