Olympique Lyon has confirmed that Diego Moreira has returned to his parent club, Chelsea. The Portuguese winger of African origins (he’s the son of former Guinnea-Bisao international Almami Moreira) had signed on loan until the end of the season. However, he has failed to establish himself at the Ligue 1 club and, therefore, returns to England early. Moreira has been a peripheral figure for Lyon, featuring just 10 times for the club in all competitions, making four starting appearances for Les Gones. These are memories that will be etched into me. I hope that the players, as well as the supporters, will reach their objectives in this second half of the season. Always in my heart. Go Lyon!” he said on Instagram. ##NAJAVA_MECA_7813046##Lyon has confirmed Moreira’s return, thanking the Portuguese winger for his time at the club and wishing him the best for the future.
