African-born teenager is recalled by Chelsea as his French stint ends prematurely

Olympique Lyon has confirmed that Diego Moreira has returned to his parent club, Chelsea. The Portuguese winger of African origins (he’s the son of former Guinnea-Bisao international Almami Moreira) had signed on loan until the end of the season. However, he has failed to establish himself at the Ligue 1 club and, therefore, returns to England early. Moreira has been a peripheral figure for Lyon, featuring just 10 times for the club in all competitions, making four starting appearances for Les Gones.
