National Super League (NSL) Side Vihiga Bullets have cut short their engagement with head coach George Owoko after six months with the team, Mozzart Sport can confirm.Owoko made a return to the club at the start of the 2023-2024 season from third-tier outfit Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA) but found his position under threat following managerial changes at the team.##NAJAVA_MECA_7873791##Bullets were on the verge of closing shops when an investor in the form of Samwest Blackboots came to the aid taking full control, and further shifting the team’s base from Vihiga to Kikuyu in Nairobi.In an interview with this publication, the club’s chairman Isaac Mwaura noted that following a board of trustees meeting on Monday, they unanimously agreed to relieve Owoko of his duties following a recent string of performances.The club administrator further highlighted that some more ‘serious’ allegations that he did not want to divulge had played a major part in the board’s decision.“We had a meeting with the board of trustees after our Sunday defeat and collectively agreed to part ways with the coach.
