Pep apologises to Phillips for ‘overweight’ criticism

Pep Guardiola apologised to Kalvin Phillips for saying he was overweight on his return from the latest World Cup in December 2022.Phillips is still contracted to City but agreed on a loan move to West Ham following a rather unsuccessful time at Etihad last year.The defensive midfielder, 28, had told The Observer: “After the World Cup was probably the toughest when Pep came out and said I was overweight.
