- Horner had denied all allegations of controlling behaviour
- Parent company reviewed findings of independent inquiry
Christian Horner has been cleared after an independent investigation into allegations of inappropriate controlling behaviour made against him by a female member of staff. The decision means the 50-year-old, who has been at the helm of the team since its inception in 2005, will continue to oversee operations in Bahrain as Red Bull prepare for the opening race on 2 March after weeks of uncertainty and drama.
“The independent investigation into the allegations made against Mr Horner is complete, and Red Bull can confirm that the grievance has been dismissed,” said a spokesperson for Red Bull GmbH. “The complainant has a right of appeal. Red Bull is confident that the investigation has been fair, rigorous and impartial.
