Former Premier League legends team up to buy a football club in England

An American invasion on English (and European) clubs in currently on the way and in Premier League alone, half of the 20 clubs are owned by billionaires from across the ocean, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool. But, a small group of Dutch men is serious about acquiring one English club and make him their own. And they all have plenty of knowledge (unlike most of these American owners), since almost all of them played in the Premier League. But, they are not so high on cash, so they will have a rather modest start, with a lower league club. According to football agent Rob Jansen, former players Dennis Bergkamp, Dirk Kuyt and Henrik Larsson have teamed up to buy and run the club themselves. They tend to be involved on a daily basis, not just to provide the cash, as they do have other investors with them. They will also be joined by Ronald Koeman, a current Netherlands manager.💰🇳🇱 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 | Dennis Bergkamp, Dirk Kuyt, Henrik Larsson, Ronald Koeman are looking to BUY a club in England! ✈️ The aim is a League One/Two club at this point. I’m not allowed to say which club yet. I can say which group we will do it with. Ronald Koeman, Dennis Bergkamp, Henrik Larsson and Dirk Kuyt. We do this with some people around us and we also have the financiers. It doesn’t have to be in London. The plan is to manage the football club in the broadest sense of the word. So the way we think it should be. Training, hospitality, merchandising, marketing, everything. The names I mention will also do a certain job within the club. Henrik Larsson would like to become a head coach. Bergkamp will set up the academy. And Koeman also comes over to do his things. The experience is enormous there. When you visit those clubs there, the experience cannot be compared to other clubs in Europe. It is not yet entirely clear when it will all finally happen. We do take the time to select the club. We are now looking in the Manchester and Birmingham area. It is being taken very seriously now” said Jansen in a KieftJansenEgmondGijp podcast.📝Arsenal Legends Stats: Dennis Bergkamp in the Premier league Apps: 317Goals/Assists: 87/94Wins/Losses: 186/50Yellow Cards/Red Cards: 40/1Premier League Titles : 3 Player of the Month: 4 #AFC #ARS pic.twitter.com/fp7D07Zd8X— Ray (@AFCRay_) July 22, 2021 Bergkamp had holding coaching roles in the youth set up at Dutch side Ajax since retiring so it’s logical that he overlooks at the club’s academy. Larsson has managerial experience in his native Sweden, including two spells at former club Helsingborgs. His last coaching role came under Koeman at Barcelona between 2020 and 2021. It remains to be seen what roles are there for Ronald Koeman and Dirk Kuyt, who is also a coach.
