- World champion spoke before decision over team principal
- Hamilton says Horner verdict an ‘important moment’ for F1
Max Verstappen has declined to deliver his unequivocal support for Christian Horner while the team principal remains under investigation for alleged inappropriate behaviour, a decision on which is expected shortly in the build up to the opening race of the season in Bahrain this weekend.
The inquiry began on 1 February after a complaint made by a female employee of Red Bull Racing made the allegations to the team’s parent company Red Bull GmbH. No details of the allegations have been released other than it is understood they refer to alleged “controlling” behaviour by Horner, who has emphatically denied any wrongdoing.
