NSL: Naivas rout Migori to consolidate top spot as Kajiado secure key win

National Super League leaders Naivas FC on Saturday consolidated their lead on top of the table as they walloped visiting Migori Youth FC 4-0 in a Round 21 fixture played at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.The win for Naivas takes them three points clear of second placed Mathare United who have a game in hand – on Sunday away to SS Assad – with 46 points accrued this season.Naivas got themselves into the lead in the 23rd minute through Benjamin Murimi before Robert Karisa doubled the scoreline with two minutes to go to the halftime break.There was no stopping Collins Omondi’s side as they went three nil up six minutes after the break through Joachim Ochieng, and there was more left in the tank as David Orem scored late to wrap up a comprehensive 4-0 victory for the league leaders.
