The cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Moses Kuria, in partnership with FKF Central Region Zone, is set to launch the inaugural Moses Kuria Peace Cup on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Kinoru Stadium, Meru.The tournament brings together teams representing 66 constituencies, drawn from 11 counties, each vying for the 5 million Kenyan shillings prize money to be awarded to the tournament’s winner.##NAJAVA_MECA_7932016##The runner-up will earn 3 million shillings, while the second runner-up will earn 1 million. This funding could have been directed to other sports disciplines like volleyball, athletics, or boxing, but he opted for football and for that, we are grateful,” said FKF National Executive Committee (NEC) Central region representative Davis Chege.Participating teams have been placed in 8 groups, with the winners and runners-up automatically set to proceed to the last 16, set to be played on April 27.So far, three rounds of matches have been played, with the last group matches to be played on April 13, 2024.
