Mombasa’s Mbaraki Sports Club will be closed for six months for renovation and upgrading after the Gor Mahia Football Kenya Federation Premier League match on Saturday, as per a circular from the KPA Sports Club Mbaraki Secretary.The closure will affect league matches in different divisions, with Bandari using the venue to host top-tier games while Mombasa Elite and Stars host National Super League matches at the playground. The last high-risk match is against Gor Mahia on March 9. After that we have agreed with the contractor that they can move in and start the upgrade,” he said.Mbaraki set for Ksh 300 million faceliftAccording to the club administrator vying for the FKF top seat in the upcoming elections, the Dockers are exploring various options to host their home matches, including Ukunda grounds, Moi Stadium in Voi, and Dawson Mwanyumba Stadium in Wundanyi.“Of the three venues we are considering, Ukunda looks perfect because we have many fans here.
