6(!) tied for lead, Rory McIlroy’s putting lesson among things to know from Arnold Palmer Invitational

Arnold Palmer is smiling.

Sure, his Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando is proving to be a tough test for the PGA Tour’s best, but the leaderboard after two rounds of the 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational is spectacular. It’s shaping up to be the best weekend of a signature event yet in 2024, thanks to a stellar run Friday afternoon by numerous players.

There are six players tied for the lead at 7-under 137 heading to the weekend, including world No. 1 and 2022 API champion Scottie Scheffler. Also on that list are two winners of signature events this season, Hideki Matsuyama and Wyndham Clark.

The others tied for the lead? Two major champions, including one from 2023, and a four-time Tour winner.

Yeah, this signature event is great through 36 holes.
