Anthony Joshua knocked out Francis Ngannou with devastating force in the second round of their crossover fight in Riyadh. After recovering from a punch that left him unconscious, MMA fighter Ngannou joked: ‘I didn’t feel the punch, I think that’s what the knockout is about,’ adding: ‘He was quite special because he stopped me, he did what Tyson Fury couldn’t do.’
‘Did I expect to win? I give my best. Heavyweight boxing is a league of its own, anything can happen,’ said Joshua. ‘It finished early because destiny’s already written. We got the job done, and the best thing is I can get back in the gym and build on a solid training camp, get back in the ring and do another job.’
