Toulouse and Olympique Lyon are about to face in the opening game of the Ligue 1 Matchday 26 on Friday night, but it’s something else that everyone in France is talking about today.The head of French referees Stephane Lannoy has been sacked by the French Football Federation (FFF) along with his VAR counterpart Sebastien Moreira, according to L’Equipe.Second bookable offence, Mr. Lannoy (©Alex Grimm/Getty Images)According to them, certain referees have judged Lannoy to be too close to presidents of certain Ligue 1 clubs and guilty of technical errors on his watch, especially when it comes to utilising VAR.
