Players and spectators were treated to an unexpected sight part-way through the match between Venus WIlliams and Diana Shnaider in Miami as a cat ran onto the court during the second set. With Williams 2-1 up and serving, a cat dashed on, prompting the umpire to call a let. Shnaider eventually beat WIlliams 6-3, 6-3 to advance.
