The title race is over in Bundesliga. After 11 consecutive years, Bayern Munich will give away it’s title crown to Bayer Leverkusen in the upcoming weeks. The race for the third place in the league is also over. It was in fact over last week, when Borussia Dortmund allowed themselves to lose 1-0 at home against direct rivals Stuttgart, who are now seven points away from the BVB and RB Leipzig. So, what actually remains is the battle for the fourth place in the Bundesliga, which leads to the Champions League. Borussia and Leipzig are toe-to-toe and will likely stay that way until the very end. And while the Millionairs have finished the month of March with all five wins (a 2-0 win in Munich against Bayern included), they lost two in April already. And the German press was keen to point out that one of the reasons for their poor results was the form of their first striker – Niclas Fulkrug.Fullkrug in the last 10 games1 goal2 assists776 minutes2.75xG accumulated19 shots(7 off target, 8 on target)9 chances created5 Big Chances missed— 🇯🇲⬛️🟨 (@Arezoprop) April 10, 2024 An experienced striker who came from Werder last season is the team’s first scorer with 11 goals in Bundesliga, just like his teammate Donyell Malen. Problem is, his last goal came on February 17th against Wolfsburg! Adeyemi and Mallen filled in with goals in the meantime, along with some other players, but BVB needs Fullkrug. The German international continued his bad display against Atletico in the Champions League with only six touches in the first half. He has also lost his place in the German national team to Kai Havertz and his self-confidence is suffering too. It was noticed that he forbid comments on his Instagram post recently, clearly a sign that he is vulnerable to critique from the fans.UCL: Haller gives hope to Borussia after a defeat against AtleticoIvory Coast striker Sebastien Haller is breathing down his neck and even coach Edin Terzić said that he is getting close to the starting eleven. He said that before the Borussia Monchengladbach match, while also taking about Fullkrug’s lack of form.“He’s not far away from the starting eleven. We talked again during the week. One thing is the goals, the other thing is that you always put yourself at the service of the team. What we see is that he is very diligent about it. He is very diligent in training and afterward. It won’t be long before he gets through this phase” said Terzić, showing support to his out-of-form striker.BUNDESLIGA – MATCHDAY 29FridayAugsburg – Union Berlin 2-0 (0-0)/Tierz 37, Michel 81/Saturday 16:30: (1.25) Bayern (7.00) Koln (12.0)16:30: (2.15) Bochum (3.60) Heidenheim (3.50)16:30: (3.40) M’ gladbach (3.50) Dortmund (2.00)16:30: (1.38) RB Leipzig (5.00) Wolfsburg (8.00)16:30: (1.98) Mainz (3.50) Hoffenheim (3.80)19:30: (1.53) Stuttgart (4.20) Eintr.Frankfurt (6.25)Sunday 16:30: (4.10) Darmstadt (3.50) Freiburg (1.90)18:30: (1.20) Leverkusen (6.75) Werder (14.0)***odds are subject to change***
