Kenya’s boys and girls school have officially learnt their opponents in this year’s International School Sport Federation (ISF) Football World Cup to take place in Dalian, China.This comes despite Kenya having not named specific names of schools which will be taking part in the tournament expected to draw teams from all continents.The championships begin on 17-27 May.##NAJAVA_MECA_8038251##In Tuesday’s draw ceremony conducted by ISF President of the Technical Commission Justus Mugisha, Kenya’s girl school (yet to be confirmed) will face off last year’s bronze medalists St. Noa Girls (Uganda), Germany, Ghana and England in Group D.The nation’s boys school – also yet to be named – has on the other hand been placed alongside Benin, Taipei and Uganda’s Amus College School in Group G.Opportunity for emerging players as national U18 team makes a resounding returnOther Ugandan sides; Amus College Schools from Mbale (girls) and St. Mary’s College Kisubi (boys) have been placed in Groups C and E respectively.China and France are the reigning champions for the girls and boys categories respectively.“It was a great experience performing a draw for 56 teams from the top 33 football countries of the world in this great city of China, Dalian,” Mugisha, also the First Vice President of the Ugandan Football Association said.

Kenya was among the increased quota of African teams in last year’s tournament who were making their ISF appearances for the first time.Other African schools that made the championships then include: Uganda, Mali, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Gambia, Burkina Faso and Benin.
