The National Assembly football team, Bunge FC, led by the captains Hon. Aaron Cheruiyot (Senate Majority Leader) and Hon. Otiende Omollo, honored their fallen comrades earlier today by lighting candles at the Ulinzi Grounds in memory of the late Francis Ogolla and the other nine Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officers who tragically lost their lives in a plane crash last week.Ogolla, who was laid to rest on Sunday at his rural home in Siaya, met his untimely demise in Elgeiyo Marakwet last Thursday after the KDF plane he was flying in crashed. The other soldiers who perished are Brigadier Swaleh Said, Colonel Dancan Keitany, Lieutenant Col. David Sawe, Major George Benson Magondu, Capt. Sora Mohammed, Capt. Hillary Litali, Snr Sgt John Kinyua Mureithi, Sgt. Cliffonce Omondi, and Sgt. Rose Nyawira.On Tuesday morning, parliamentarians held a special prayer session before their training session, proceeding to do a lap of honor in his memory before training, donned in black.
