All is not well at the AFC Leopards, days after coach Tomas Trucha banished team manager Bernard Mang’oli from the team over a week ago.The issue of contention was a booking mishap that saw Ingwe and Posta Rangers staying at the same hotel before they faced off in a league match in Machakos. Ingwe won the match 1-0, courtesy of Ken Owino’s strike.##NAJAVA_MECA_8056177##Clubs typically prefer not to share space with their opponents before a game, and Trucha squarely blamed the former Ingwe captain for the incident. After the game, he indefinitely suspended Mang’oli from the team. The former midfielder hasn’t been present at the training ground, nor was he on the bench on Sunday when Ingwe lost to Gor Mahia 1-0 in the Mashemeji Derby. The coach’s decision has sparked mixed reactions within the team, with a majority feeling that the Czech coach overreacted by suspending the team manager.“Mang’oli has not been with the team since the game against Posta Rangers in Machakos; that’s over a week now. The coach banished him from training and sitting on the bench during matches, and he now performs his duties away from the team,” a source told Mozzart Sport.“I do not think it was an issue worth kicking Mang’oli out of the team. It was largely a misunderstanding, which I believe should have been sorted out amicably. How it was handled has brought unnecessary tension to the team,” the source added.Mozzart Sport understands that the club hierarchy is planning to meet the entire technical bench to resolve the matter. Mang’oli will then resume his duties once the issue has been handled. This is not the first time an AFC Leopards coach has had an issue with the club’s team manager. Last year, former coach Patrick Aussems removed then-team manager Albert Wesonga, who is now the club’s interim CEO, after unpermitted guests accessed the dressing room and talked to the playing unit after a match against Posta Rangers, in which Ingwe lost by a solitary goal.FAZ President, Secretary General arrested ahead of polls
