AFC Leopards coach Tomas Trucha has expressed his concern about hosting games at Dandora Stadium for too long, citing the exclusion of many fans who want to watch the team play.Dandora Stadium, opened in March by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, has a seating capacity of 4,000. Initially, it was intended to host lower league games and non league teams around Dandora.##NAJAVA_MECA_2104##However, due to the shortage of stadiums in Nairobi, the facility has become a venue for FKF Premier League games and FKF Women’s Cup matches. It began with the Mozzart Bet Cup quarter-final matches just over a week ago, and on Sunday, Ingwe hosted their game against Bandari FC at the facility.Teary Kibande steps off bench to push former side closer to the dropFor most of the season, Ingwe has hosted its games at Nyayo Stadium. However, for the Bandari game, they were denied the venue by Sports Kenya as they have yet to pay the half-million fine imposed on them for fans’ destruction of some facilities in the stadium. Ingwe are required to pay Ksh505,450 to cover the damages. On Sunday, some Ingwe fans were unable to watch the game as the stadium reached full capacity, leaving Trucha dissatisfied. He hopes the issue with Sports Kenya will be resolved.”We have this issue with the stadium. We know the fans come in large numbers, and if it were a bigger stadium, we would have 15,000 to 20,000, but having just 4,000 is not enough. We hope they can resolve this issue,” said the tactician after Ingwe’s 1-0 victory over Bandari, courtesy of a Clifton Miheso goal.Leopards’ next game is against Police FC on May 15th, and Trucha is hopeful that the matter will be resolved by then. There is light at the end of Shabana’s tunnel, says Pamzo
