CECAFA teams battle in FIFA U-17 women’s qualifiers

Five teams from the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) will compete in the third round of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers from May 10th to 12th, 2024.Ethiopia will kick off the matches by hosting Kenya at the Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa on May 10th in the first leg, while Djibouti will host Burundi at the same stadium two days later.##NAJAVA_MECA_8079986##The Teen Cranes of Uganda, under the guidance of Sherly Botes, will face a challenging away match against Zambia on May 12th at the Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.To reach the third round, Djibouti received a walkover against Equatorial Guinea, while Burundi defeated Botswana 6-1 on aggregate, and Ethiopia triumphed over South Africa 3-0 on aggregate. Kenya advanced due to a walkover against DR Congo.Uganda also secured qualification after a 4-2 aggregate victory over Cameroon.
