CARLSBAD, Calif. — The women’s individual national champion has been crowned, which means one thing: it’s time for match play.
Stanford is the No. 1 seed in match play for the fourth straight year. LSU earned the No. 2 seed, and it’s the first appearance in match play in school history for the Tigers. Meanwhile, defending champion Wake Forest finished two shots outside of the cutline, missing a shot to defend its title.
A reminder: Stanford in 2022 is the only No. 1 seed in the match-play era to go on and win the national title.
