Mohammed Bajaber ready for the next step after stellar season with City Stars

Mohammed Bajaber, 21, has undoubtedly come of age at FKF Premier League side Nairobi City Stars.The midfielder, who signed as a rookie from the Starfield Soccer Academy two seasons ago, had a difficult debut season hampered by several injuries.”During my first season with the City Stars, I sustained numerous injuries. It was very tough, but I would like to thank the coach (Nicholas Muyoti), the support staff, and all my teammates. They were very supportive and patient with me.” Bajaber tells Mozzart Sport.Despite the injury setbacks and the fact that it was his debut season in the FKFPL, Bajaber’s talent and potential were evident. He exhibited flashes of brilliance whenever he appeared on Simba Wa Nairobi.This season, the youngster has settled in properly and has had no major injury setbacks. With six goals and four assists under his name already, Bajaber is beaming with confidence but not resting on his laurels.“I think I could have done better. I still have areas that I need to improve on. Bandari and Kenya Police FC expressed interest in his services earlier this year, but the promising midfielder opted to establish himself at Simba Wa Nairobi.”City Stars contacted me over the contract situation and we were supposed to meet to discuss the way forward, probably that will happen before the season ends. I am open to listening to offers; that is the life of a footballer,” Bajaber said.”I love football, and I just want to enjoy it and hopefully play professionally in Europe at some point in my career,” he added. They had a lot of influence on me, and I eventually fell in love with football.
