Shabana using international break to recharge ahead of crucial matches

The current international break couldn’t have come at a better time for relegation-threatened Shabana FC. The team is using this pause to prepare for the crucial final phase of the season as they fight to stay in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL).Shabana FC currently sits 16th on the log standings, occupying the relegation playoff position. With three matches remaining, they are focused on securing the points needed to avoid relegation.##NAJAVA_MECA_8136653##Despite showing signs of a resurgence recently, Shabana’s momentum was halted by a series of tough matches. They lost to Gor Mahia, drew against Talanta, and suffered a 2-1 defeat to the in-form Kariobangi Sharks in their last outing.Head coach Sammy “Pamzo” Omollo is using the break to sharpen his team and prepare them for the critical matches ahead. “The break has come at the right time. We had some injuries, and this allows us to get some of our key players back before the league resumes,” said Omollo, the former Gor Mahia coach. “I am also focusing on strengthening specific areas and using this time to engage with individual players, addressing areas that need improvement, and boosting their morale for the upcoming challenges.”The remaining three games will demand Shabana to be at their best, both physically and mentally. We held them for about 74 minutes, which is not easy considering their recent scoring form. The difference was also the quality they have in a player like Makwatta.”A league winner with Tusker FC, Omollo remains confident in his team’s approach. “We will not change our strategy for the final three matches. We know what we need to do and will stick to our game plan.”The Glamour boys will host the AFC Leopards on June 15th when the league resumes, followed by a home match against Bidco United four days later, and they will conclude their season with an away match against league debutants Murang’a Seal.Maeri reveals Mathare’s focus as NSL homestretch heats up
