Golf’s Longest Day: Amateurs who survived 2024 U.S. Open qualifying to advance to Pinehurst

There were 687 hopefuls who woke up Monday morning on Golf’s Longest Day hoping to survive a 36-hole qualifier and make it to the 124th U.S. Open.

There were dozens of amateurs among them across 10 qualifying sites Monday, all aiming for the goal of making it to Pinehurst No. 2 in the Village of Pinehurst, North Carolina, for the national championship.

The field for the Open, which starts on June 13, will be 156, with 44 earning a spot on Monday. Of those, 10 were amateurs.
